Before I turn in at two.am again due to ohsotiredness and the need to rise at eight.am for the Parents Cultural Tour tomorrow I must pen down how my heart broke today when I had the privilege to work with some MUOSSers for the overseas students orientation program. Why?

Of my three major involvements at uni -- Arts Fac, Badminton Club & OCF -- OCF is my only 'source' of overseas students (though I've met a handful of overseas students thru the Aussiedominated-Arts Fac, I'm glad I've already invited almost all of them to one of the OCF evangelistic events!) The fact that 99.9% of OCFers are already Christians, have led me unaware that OCFers do not even form 10% of the overseas students population in MU! Though they probably Might form about 10% of the SingaporeanMalaysian population combine, still, its only 10%!

I silently observed how MUOSSers worked today and thats what that broke my heart. They serve (the overseas students) with a passion. Which point towards the volunteering spirit they each possess. And us? Shouldn't we be serving the campus with more vigor because we serve out of a God-purposed slash purposeful spirit? At the back of my head, I can't help but think how much potential each of these MUOSS leaders have within and what fantastic OCF leaders they would make! And the core of the matter is, the overseas students are benefitting from MUOSSers' service and they respond to MUOSS out of utmost gratitude. Though it is not entirely fair to compare OCF to MUOSS, but isn't it said often enough that to serve God is also to serve His people (and to feed His sheep...) that outreach means serving God through reaching out to His people?

I have to remind myself time and again, OCF is quintessentially a campus ministry and campus outreach is what OCF should be primarily about. So the question that has mindboggled me the previous many weeks is this: how can we consider ourselves a campus ministry if we've not served God through our service to the campus? We've never quite served the campus, have we? Though I've never had the opportunity to participate in the fantastic coffee ministry, I'm absolutely certain that God is pleasedANDdelighted with that particular outreach 'strategy'! And coffee ministry is about the only service we've brought to the campus (and therefore the mention on Farrago!)

So someone from MUOSS commented to me that 'OCF is very happening!' (as compared to MUOSS he said) And this then gave me the understanding that OCF exists as a very exclusive 'organisation' and that people are though aware of what OCF is but their self-reckoned inability to participate in spite of knowledge of however 'happening' OCF is, tells me that we have got walls. Seriously, we need to come

down.
